The guests to the Vologda Region arrived from St.Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow, the Far East, Leningrad, Archangelsk and Moscow Regions, the USA and Finland.
The 18th international specialized exhibition “Safety and Labour Protection” is held in Moscow, 9 - 12 December 2014.
From December 3 through 5 Vologda will host exhibitors from Russian regions and such foreign countries as Austria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Latvia and Belarus.
The meeting with Danish Consul General in St Petersburg Thorbjørn Lindmark, the representatives of the Royal Danish Consulate in St. Petersburg and Danish business circles was held within the framework of the International Exhibition-fair Russian Wood that started its work in Vologda on December 3.

VI International Gavrilin Festival came to a close in Vologda.
The festival which lasted from October 1 through December 2, 2014 is named after Valery Gavrilin, the great Russian composer, People's artist of Russia who was born in Vologda.
The Russian Wood, an exhibition for innovation technologies to be applied in the timber industry, in production of technological equipment for forestry and manufacture of wood and wood-working articles is an event with a long tradition. It will take place for the 19th time in 2014.
On November 26, Mr. Kozhevnikov is due to carry out a presentation of the economic potential of the Vologda Oblast for the Italian business community.
The celebration will take place at Ded Moroz's Votchina, a few miles outside Veliky Ustyug. Festive performances, fireworks, sport events and concerts are part of the program. By the well-established tradition, many guests are to arrive in Veliky Ustyug to congratulate Ded Moroz. They are holiday-season miracle-makers, wonderland creatures and helpers from Russia and CIS-countries. Of course, children from all parts of Russia will be there too.
